Gene Sinner
Church Administrator

A native of Cudahy, Wisconsin, Gene comes to First Congregational UCC
with extensive experience in church management. He has college degrees in public information, communications, and business administration,
as well as a certificate in church management. He was a
certified academic instructor in the Air Force, and was on staff at
the U.S. Air Force's Air University Chaplain School. He also
served as Executive Officer for the chaplain's office at National
Headquarters, Civil Air Patrol. While in the Air Force, he
served and lived in Europe (Spain and England), Southeast Asia,
Alaska, and numerous locations in the "lower 48." Since
retiring from military service after 20 years, he has held a variety
of finance and business-services positions in corporate, church,
government, and educational settings in Alabama and Wisconsin,
including church program director and business manager positions at
several churches in Wisconsin. Other recent positions were at
the New Holstein School District and Marian College in Fond du Lac.
He is a certified, licensed substitute teacher in Wisconsin and also
has operated a consulting firm, ChurchKey Services, which provided
financial, administrative and training services to numerous
congregations throughout the state.
As
Church Administrator for our congregation, a position he assumed in
April 2007, his primary responsibilities include the church
finances, personnel issues, information technology (IT computer
network operations), and facility maintenance operations. He
is a member of the National Association of Church Business
Administration.
Gene's hobbies include gardening, wine making and writing. He and his wife,
Margaret, have three grown sons and seven grandchildren. The
Sinners reside near Stockbridge, Wisconsin in Calumet County.
