Kara J. Woodford

Kara graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education.  Before joining the staff at First Congregational UCC in 2001, she served as a substitute teacher for the Appleton Area School District and taught summer theater and art classes.  While employed by Fox Valley Technical College, Kara established and operated a GOAL Lab outreach center at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley where she taught adult basic education classes and promoted family literacy.  Kara's primary responsibility at First Congregational is to supervise and direct education and family activities for infants through eighth graders.  Kara enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time in her art studio.  She has two sons:  Jake, a sophomore at Lawrence University, and Alex, a senior at Appleton North High School.
